Laura Gonano works in Cape Town as a professional English and Italian translator based in Cape Town. She qualified as an English-Italian and Italian-English sworn translator with the South African Translators’ Institute (SATI) in 2006 and is registered as a Sworn Translator with the High Court of South Africa, the Consulate of Italy in Cape Town and the General Consulate of Italy in Johannesburg.
Laura graduated in Law at the University of Milan, and later worked in journalism before joining the Italian Consulate in Cape Town, where she was employed from 2002 to 2018 and gained extensive knowledge of Consular procedures as well as Italian citizenship legislation.

Annalisa Contrafatto is a qualified English-Italian translator accredited with the South African Translators’ Institute (SATI), admitted as a Sworn Translator in the High Court of South Africa, and registered with the Consulate of Italy in Cape Town.
With a solid background in anti-money laundering and financial crime prevention, Annalisa brings extensive expertise in corporate, financial, and business language. She holds a degree in Linguistics and English and a Master’s degree in Specialised Translation.
Beyond translation, Annalisa is a national tourist guide and tour leader, passionate about cultural and linguistic mediation — skills that enrich her work with precision, authenticity, and cultural insight.
